Engraving
Matform's experienced staff use state-of-the-art technology to produce specialist plastic and metals engravings including aluminium, stainless steel and brass.
The tools used are tailored according to material type and application and include laser and precision machine engraving, ensuring your products are produced to the highest quality and specification.
Laser Engraving - We are able to laser engrave stainless steel, plastics and acrylics to produce a fantastic finish unique for your product. Our traditional engraving process is available on a wider range of metals including brass, aluminium and stainless steel.
Etching Engraving - Where larger quantities of name plates require engraving, etching provides a cost-effective solution. Etching is available on aluminium, brass and stainless steel and involves placing a resin over the material and etching the design into the resin, exposing the metal underneath. The material is then placed in a chemical tank to corrode the exposed metal into your design.
Matform use this process to give a sunken or raised effect which can then be filled with colour if required. Etched metal nameplates are particularly well suited to corrosive or hazardous environments and are ideal for outdoors. Their design process ensures that they are made to withstand the harsh environments and most importantly, remain functional.
