Matform’s Sales Director Commemorates 25 Years With The Company

Sales Director, Paul Down is celebrating his silver anniversary with Matform.

He joined Matform on April 1, 1985, starting as a sales office assistant and working his way up to Sales Director. When he began his employment Matform were based at their previous location in Leigh Road, Chichester and had a workforce of 10.

Now they operate out of Terminus Road with state-of-the-art machinery, and their workforce has more than doubled.

“When I joined Matform the company concentrated on screen printing and engraving. We didn’t even have a metal work department. Everything was done by hand and orders were taken without the benefit of having computers, e-mail or mobile phones”, he said.

During his 25 years with Matform, Paul, who is a keen middle-distance runner has raised more than £3,500 in sponsorship from friends and work colleagues for charities, including Dreams Come True, the national charity for terminally and seriously ill youngsters, and Wessex Heartbeat, the regional cardiac charity.
