Santa Strides And Bunny Hops For Charity

Matform’s festive fundraising Santa seemed to be “battery powered” when he braved the December chill to raise awareness of the Wessex Heartbeat charity.

Sales Director, Paul Down, swopped his sleigh for his trainers to take part in the annual 5km Southampton Santa Dash on December 14.

He was joined by the charity’s Chief Executive Officer, D’Arcy Myers, who dressed as a giant Duracell bunny to motivate the 160 joggers and fun runners who took part.

Southampton Common was transformed into a Winter Wonderland providing a visual spectacle while helping to raise money for the regional charity which supports the work of the Wessex Cardiac Centre.

Paul who completed the Santa Dash in 30 minutes commented afterwards: “It was a great opportunity to kickstart the Christmas celebrations while raising money for such a good cause.”
